  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default Slow fuelling

Hi i have seen this covered before about 1.6d slow to fill but does anyone with a 2.0d have the same trouble as i might have an idea how to cure it on the 1.6d but need to check something first.

Do you mean that the pump keeps cutting out? If so, pull the nozzle out 1-2" and it should fill fine. It seems to create too much back-pressure making the pump cut out.

I always thought it was just my car that was wrong, or the pump I have been using. So this is actually a known problem! Thanks guys.

I find that there is a difference between pumps. Some are better than others.

Btw, mine is a 2.0 petrol.

Thanks i have already read about doing that but to no avail. I am wondering if people on here with the 2.0d have the same issue as if they havent i might have an idea for a fix for the pump nozzle cutting out on the 1.6d which is what i have.

Well managed to sort out the slow filling on my V50........



















Sold it and bought an Insignia. Thanks for all the help ive been given will still pop in from time to time.
