Pollen filter - Where is it?

On attempting to renew the pollen filter on my 1997 V70 today, I found that there wasn't one in situ and it looks like there never has been, as there is no housing that such a filter would fit into. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Not all cars have them fitted, but you can retrofit them (I had to do this on mine too).

I can't remember the part numbers off hand, but if you contact Simon (rufe) at FRF I'm sure he'll sort you out with what you need at a good price.

Im not sure they all had them, i think they are situated under the scuttle panel by the wipers passenger side, basically inline with the glove box under the bonnet under the black panel that runs along by the screen

I thought that all cars of my V70's age had pollen filters. Obviously not! I was looking for it in the right place, anyway

Mine looks like that, but there is no clip or fastener to hold it in. I did manage to get it to fit though - the cowling seems to secure it when it's screwed back down
