Default xc 60 r design seats

Hi
today we test drove a xc60 d4 r design and my wife found the seat uncomfortable. are the non r design seats as bucketed? we like the car so if they are not maybe it would be a option to look at them. i am only asking as we are in cornwall and the nearest non r design is 150 miles away
thanks in advance matt

If you find them uncomfortable now then think how its going to feel like when you own it! Bite the bullet and ditch the car. R designs are a harder ride and some people cannot get on with them. It is the suspension set up as well as the seats. I tried both r design and the lux and got the lux. I didnt see the point in owning a car with uncomfortable seats or a hard ride. You make your own choice, but i have seen loads of posts on this forum from people thinking of switching from an r design to a softer ride but not the other way.

Agree. You need a decent test drive in an SE/Lux, preferably with the standard 17/18" wheels. Is there no used used SE/Lux anywhere amongst the local car dealers in Truro ?

Try marshalls they have loads of branches. I got one of the last demo se lux nav that they had as demo cars in january. There were still one or two knocking about. Even if its not near you the salesman can source nationwide it and sell you the car or put a holding deposit on it. Mine had the 18 inch wheels and polestar 230 bhp upgrade. It had all the farmer options, like volvo dog guard and fitted black rubber mats. Mine came from Lincoln and i live in France! I think they can probably manage to find you something.

Is this a new car/new model or the older outgoing model that there are still some hanging around, or indeed used, you don’t say...

The r design and se are both the outgoing model i believe. That was what i was refffering to.Your getting me at it now! I dont think the new range have the se or r design in their fold. I may be wrong. Maybe someone else more knowlegable can confirm.
