Default MY18.5 XC60 question

Hi All

Just had my 18.5 XC60 Momentum delivered - didn't get any options as found a very cheap lease deal but i have a question on the load cover in the boot...

Is the load cover automatic or manual - for some reason i remember the load cover being automatic in the spec but on mine i currently have to retract it and pull it manually...

You probably already know the answer when you said “didn’t get any options “ that’s if it even exists. It’s pull every time I am afraid and hell if you forget as your rear window view will be severely restricted.
Enjoy your new car.

It is ONLY manual and even as an option it does not come as automatic or electric. This function is on V90 though I think as standard on the higher end models.

Only a manual on my 18.5 R Design.
No electric option as far as I am aware.
There is a knack to locating the shelf, takes a few times still for me to engage in the correct position.

Jusrt slide I’d down with a slight downward bias. Don’t hold it with a closed fist which will tend to lift it and spring open again.

I'm sure it was listed as being an automatic boot cover, but like everyone has found it's not. If put in the so called automatic position it will then open with the tailgate. But like Bernard has said on closing it blocks half the rear window out.

Sounds good would you be willing to share how much was very cheap? Only because I'm looking at a similar spec just now.

XC60 T5 Momentum (petrol)

24 month personal lease (3+23) Amounts are inclusive of VAT

Initial - £795

23 x £265

5k miles per annum with an 11.3p excess mile charge

I’m expecting to do 8k miles per year so excess mileage is not an issue for me .

Any Metallic colour was included in price so didn’t have to pay extra for that..

Delivery to my house included in the price above.

No broker fees either...
