Default Android Auto Retrofit

Hi,

Apologies if this has been covered before.

I drive a MY2017 XC90 R-Design with a single USB. I want to be able to use Android Auto but I understand this requires a dual USB hub. Looking on Google it now looks like there is an official retrofit option but I am having no luck with any dealers, the parts are listed on the site below:

https://accessories.volvocars.com/en...CC-512460/2017

Has anyone here had this done and if so what was the cost?

I wouldn't bother with Android Auto, it won't allow you to do anything sensus won't. Also it doesn't look very good on the portrait screen. I've had my XC60 from new about 2 weeks now and had it fitted from factory honestly I wouldn't order it again. Only reason I ordered it was because it worked really well in a golf company car I had.

Info from Volvo:

Hi Marc

Initially there was only the Apple Car Play option. Android Auto was introduce a couple of weeks ago.

So all OK.

A few other owners on the forum have had Apple car play retro fitted and said they did not get the second USB when accessory added.

Someone never read my posting properly.
I did not read it at all, just relaying what others have reported on here after having "Apple" car play fitted. I dont have or ever want it, so no need to read about it, cant see the point of it. Not worth paying for. Other manufacturers include it as standard spec on much cheaper cars.
