S70R saffron manual for sale

My old car for sale. Was up early in lockdown for £4,000 with same seller but didn’t go. Presumably will definitely go now as is being auctioned. Hope it goes to a good home. I’ve known it for last ten years and would have it myself again if my circumstances were different.

Is that grille standard?

Strange mileage if I remember rightly. I think it was of the road for 12 months, but did 10k miles??? Something not quite right

You’re right, it had the XC70 egg crate grille fitted when I bought it.

Yes that’s it but on ad now it says 112k which sounds better and so I assume it was a mistake on the listing last time.

Standing at £3,300 at the moment and will sell tonight.

I do know what you mean. No not standard. I tend to like cars as standard as possible so would usually agree. But I got used to it actually. Made it a bit different.

When I bought it I was glad the standard wheels had been put back on because when I first saw it, it had some awful thin blingy alloys which really weren’t my thing at all.

Sold for £4,500. A good price. I paid £3,500 for it in 2011 with 82,000 miles on it. Perhaps they are going up in value at last!

That’s assuming the buyer pays. My eBay car buyers have not always paid, which is a right pain.

What a beautiful car mate. I was only telling someone that this model in that colour are impossible to find for sale nowadays. Why sell it? I’d like to have thought it go for a lot more if you weren’t in a rush to sell. If I didn’t have my manual 850R saloon...I’d have had yours.

Thanks very much, yes it’s a good car. But it wasn’t mine at the time it was sold, it was my old car which I had to part with in late 2013. It was in my ex-wife’s name and when we split I took the 850R in my name while she kept the S70R in her name. It then became part of the divorce battle leading to it being valued in court at £275, which I took issue with but got nowhere.

So long story short, I was just drawing attention to an old car of mine in case someone decent on here was going to buy it, as I would like to see it in a good home. Wonder whether the buyer will appear here in due course.
