Default Quick repair to powerpulse hose

Just back from service and heard the gunshot from under the car, Powerpulse pipe blown at the joint in the middle. Cut the aluminium crimping off with a multitool, or junior hacksaw will do, cut the pipe with scissors, yep it's that soft, and two jubilee clips. £2.00and 1/2 hour.

Hi, No lights and it drove ok, a little slower from a rapid standing start. If wasn't for the bang I probably wouldn't have noticed.

A blown PP hose won't light up the money light, but it will usually generate a trouble code and shutdown the PP compressor until cleared. So even though your hose is repaired, PP is likely nonfunctional.

I can hear the PP compressor in mine running for 10-15 seconds on start up after the car's been sat for a day or two. You might try listening out for yours. Otherwise it's still a trip to the stealer to clear the code.

I did wonder about that, otherwise the compressor would be running endlessly. As I said, didn't really notice any difference after it blew so it can wait for the next visit to the dealer. Thanks.

It's highly unlikely this will hold up to 12 Bars of pressure.. But nice try

My factory fit hoses did not part on my car and lasted over 3 years with no problem then I had a recall to replace them and the new hose burst after 6 months.
