Default New V90 owner 1 week in and hit a problem !

Took the plunge and bought a V90 privately last week.

The car is great, although has me scratching my head with a few settings.

The main one being a Hotspot setting, but no VOC so no SIM card slots.

The first main issue problem came after a week of having it though, the rear passenger door won't lock.

I guess it's not as bad (so far anyway) as the passenger door not opening like on other platforms.

Has anyone suffered similar issues on this platform ?

Mine is an early 2017 car.

Thanks.

Do you have an SOS button, where the seatbelt/passenger airbag warnings are above the rear view mirror?

If not then you don’t have VOC. As my 2017 V90 doesn’t. I tether via hotspot of my phone

No VOC buttons, so it fitted. Do all cars have a Hotspot option even if there is no SIM card available to make it functional ?

I do not have VOC, or anywhere to install a SIM card.
What I use, is one of these, with a 3 Data (PAYG) SIM card:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Huawei-E837.../dp/B014WMEJ2Q

This gives me access to the internet, RTTI, etc.
It is plugged into the usb socket, inside the armrest.

Look in your Sensus settings/communication page for the hotspot tick box.

You can use a mobile as a hotspot or connect to wifi if you are near a router. Check the settings under communications.
Door locks seem to be a common failure on other cars so Volvo may be the same.....usually easy to change, but not particularly cheap. Have a look on Autodoc to see if they have one listed.

Well, called Volvo customer service this morning given the issues Volvo has had in the past with door locks.

Not impressed, basically defaulted to contact your Volvo retailer...

I'm checking the price of replacement lock first...

Did you buy from Volvo. If so will the Volvo Selekt warranty cover it?

Well, thankfully the rear door has started working again. That said, it's still not sounding well.

In the dealer in the week after next...
