Default Wishbone/Control Arm Replacement Video

A nice bit of weekend viewing for you all.
I promised the other day that I would make a wishbone replacement video which shows my method of no driveshaft removal.
The video is 19 minutes long and bar edits to save you watching me undo bolts, it's not far off real time.
If you find it useful, please press "like" on YouTube as it will bump it up the search lists and help others to find it.

I hope you find it useful and please feel free to offer any relevant comments or suggestions.

Thanks for the video, wish I found it that easy. Was unable to undo the ball joint and ended up rounding off and pulled out the driveshaft! Mobile guy only charged £40 to fit. Well worth it in my opinion! C

Yep, if they've been on for years and years, the spanner and torx method for the balljoint always runs that risk.
The Clarke Impact Driver I use only costs about £65 and I'll be buying one myself if my neighbour who lent it me ever moves house.
£40 for someone else to do it is a good result though.

I've heard about this, so I went genuine. I would have considered Lemforder also as I rate them.
As it is, it was only £225 for the pair and of course no labour and they''ll last longer than the Meyle, so I'm pleased how it's turned out.

2 x meyle hd wishbones & 2 x ball joints = £199. All is save a few pounds, purchased them as had good reviews. Came with a 2 yr replacement but was not willing to refund the labour charges. Only lasted 6 months!!! Will buy Volvo next time, if needed!

They are competitively priced and I NEARLY went down the same route including track rod ends and droplinks.
As it is, I've recently put Meyle shocks on and droplinks.
I've already had to change a droplink after 1500 miles due to a dislodged dust cover. I MAY have caused it though because it has a stupid tightening method.
Anyway, bought another off a member at a good price, so it's getting a second chance.
Time will tell.......
Their shocks are holding out perfectly so far......

Haha, the excitement just burst out of me which is understandable considering the state of the old one, lol.
Cheers.
