Default A/C drain hose in engine bay?

Hello folks,

Quick question - does anyone know where the outlet from the A/C condensate pipe should run out to - I see the pipe coming out from the firewall on the passenger side but then it just drips onto the steering rack gaiter which I thought was a bit strange. I wouldn't have noticed had I not changed the steering rack gaiter over the weekend and now discover that the A/C condensate is weeing all over it! A pic would be helpful if anyone can't get into the nook it sits in

Many thanks as always!

That sounds correct. Mine has a 90 degree elbow and just drops onto anything that may be in the way. Not sure what it hits - it is pure water, so never been a great concern.

Thanks, yes it doesn't look like anything is missing or has fallen off but I just thought it odd that it just drips on to the gaiter rather than being routed a bit further down It would also explain why the old gaiter had some fluid in it which I was fearing was power steering fluid although the level hadn't changed - getting close to 20 years old now so bits are slowly starting to disintegrate
