2008 Volvo V50 SE Lux 2.0D Powershift for sale!
Hi all,
I have a V50 up for sale, I have it listed with autotrader but thought I might advertise here too. My car is a little different than most. I had the very rare and unfortunate experience of dealing with a dropped valve, and after being messed around by Volvo Warrington, a new engine from Ivor Searle was fitted in January this year (I have full receipts for work completed at cost of > £3000!) - but this is another story! Anyway, the car is in very good condition all around with minor stone chippings at the front and one particularly annoying car park ding in the drivers door. Alloys and tyres in good condition with light curbing marks to some of the alloys. There is a crack in the passenger side wing mirror which can intermittently effect the reporting of the outside temperature (this is where the sensor is). It does not effect anything so I have lived with it. Other than that I have noticed a noise when driving up between 40 - 60mph, which is louder when steering to the right than to the left - a friend advised me it sounds like the front passenger side wheel bearing is on its way out and will likely need to be replaced at some point. As said, the car has had a full engine replacement on 27/01/2015 (7 months ago!) when mileage was 117,908. The engine has come from IVOR SEARLE, and is NOT a scrap yard engine. Ivor Searle provide only re-manufactured (all new moving parts) engines, and it came with an unlimited mileage 1 year warranty. This warranty is still active and expires on 27/01/2016. I have full receipts and Ivor Searle documentation to back up the work done on the car. Mileage on the clocks is ~124k, but only ~6.5k is actual mileage on the new engine. All the belts were new with the engine too, so has a nice long life ahead before any big service jobs are due. MOT is until 22/11/2015. I was going to list its toys, but you guys probably know more about the specs than I do! Its the SE Lux model with the wood trim (I love it, my wife hates it!). Lots of fancy bits like heated leather and has a Bluetooth parrot car kit too. Reason for sale is to help fund our house move. I have lots of pictures and happy to take anymore of anything specific anybody would be interested in seeing. I'm hoping to sell for as close to £5,950 as I can, but am open to offers. I have seen some cheaper examples, but they are always high milers and usually older less equipped models. I have invested a lot of money into the car ensuring it had anything fixed that was needed, this has included a new DPF sensor, alternator and the engine! Cost in work alone has almost matched what I bought it for! Please feel free to get in touch for any further info, I'm not an expert and not entirely sure what prospective buyers would be interested in except the obvious... On with the pics! |
