Default Kiddies Car seat advice need please

Help, i need some advice please.

I am the rather proud (new) owner of my first volvo - V40 D2 R Series (on a 13 plate), and i love it.

One thing that i am struggling with is the car seat for my 3 year old son.

The day i picked the car up, i went straight to Halfords to see about getting a new (better fit) car seat. ALthough i had already discussed childrens car seat with the sales man in the Volvo garage, he advised that with his children he didn't used the volvo kiddies seats, but he got his from Halfords.

Halfords, although they came across as helpful as they could, they basically advised that the seat i already had, would be the best fit i could get due to the sporty type seats in the rear of the car. The seat that i have a present, is a £20.00 one (again from Halfords) and used to fit my Mini Cooper pretty good (its one where the seat belt comes across the child).

I'm not that happy with the fit, the seat wobbles about, and its not the easiet getting the seat belt to clunk in. There has to be something better and alot safer out there.

Toys R us, its around 80 miles away from me, so its do-able - but i dont to go all that way to find out that they have nothing thats any better than i have.

What are other parents using out there please?

Does anyone use the Vovlo Booser Cushion with back rest (£130).

Ideally i would like ISO-fix...

Thoughts please....

thank you

We have a pair of Britax seats with isofix. Not sure what models they are but they will be a different age group from what you require.

Have you seen:
