V50: ECM - 200 Throttle System Faulty Signal
Hi,
Last week my Engine Management Light came on my V50 1.8 S petrol (2005) and the flow of power during acceleration felt inconsistent. I took the car to my local garage for diagnosis: ECM - 200 Throttle System Faulty Signal ECM - D90 Configuration Fault Software Fault Quote to fix the problem: £325 (inc vat) A few days later the EML is off and the car is driving well again. If by magic the problem appears to have gone. How can that be? Is it likely to be an issue again and should I get the work done? Thanks, James |

Well if it's fixed itself I would sit and wait to see if it comes back. Did they clear the codes at the time. The D90 fault appears to be a software issue during the checksum when the system checks itself and isn't a hard fault like a broken part. The throttle one is an odd one though. What did they say they where doing for £325?
