2013 C30 Warranty
Can anybody tell me if any of the last C30's sold in 2013 would still be under any kind of original manufacturers warranty, for either mechanical components or bodywork?
Thinking of having a look at this next week but a bit put off by the fact that its for sale at a used car centre and would probably only come with a v basic warranty: http://m.carzone.ie/used-cars/Volvo/...14563374849050 |

Would depend on what month of 2013 it was registered.
Manufacturers warranty is 3 years from registration date....well in the UK not sure 100% about southern Ireland.

Its 3 years from the date of delivery to its first owner or 60,000 miles for mechanical. 3 years from date of delivery for surface rust like paint peeling and 12 years from date of delivery for rust perforation through bodywork panels.
Most car companies do their warranty through companies like the RAC. In that case I have more trust in their warranty than Volvo's as the car has to go though a full RAC inspection before they cover it and the dealer has to fix any issues raised. I have 0 trust in Volvo's warranty as they always end up saying "Its wear and tear" "There was a chip in the paint causing it to rust" "We have never seen anything like this before so we wont cover it and its wear and tear". My friend recently had his car under extended manufacturer warranty when his keyless entry system broke. Took them 2 months to fix, and they tried making him pay for bits left right and center. He put up quite a fight and still ended up paying £250 for hire car and bits and bobs that the manufacturer claimed aren't covered under warranty. They even charged him for nuts and bolts that held units in place... I mean come on... seriously?!
