Default Need Help With Fog Light Bulb

I pulled the fog light assembly hoping that all it needed was a bulb replacement. As with most of these repairs it was more than that. The base mount that holds the bulb and wire contacts was severely corroded and obviously shot. The base mount appears to slide out of the lense if the lense comes off. Does anyone now if the clear lense can be removed and the base mount replaced? I suspect so based on parts availability from Direct Parts Connection catalog but I'm not sure. I'd feel better if someone on this forum had solved the same problem without buying an entire fog lamp assembly for $350.

Thanks in Advance

I assume that you have the three unit headlamps on your car. The whole unit can be removed from the car and worked on. The glass can be removed from the front but it is much better to remove the whole unit if you need to change a part of it.

If your car is "facelift" 960 then you could be OK as the units were very much the same. I have a left and right hand unit spare. Let me know which bits you need or if you will swap over the complete unit.

All the best, Peter.
