'06 C70 D5 Multiple codes but runs fine.
Hi guys. Got a 06/56 C70 D5 Auto. 60,000 miles. Displaying the following codes-
ECM-500F Air condition, Faulty signal. ECM-6662 Glow relay control, Faulty signal. ECM-1600 Charge pressure sensor. ECM-1000 Atmospheric pressure sensor. ECM-5600 Oil level sensor. Are these codes all linked to a bad connection or is there something more going on as it starts and runs fine. Changed glow plugs as 2 were duff. Codes return as soon as they are cleared. |

My D5 has a shopping list of faults logged, which the indepentant mechanic thinks is down to a bad connection somewhere - they are all due to faulty sensor signals - Engine wise it runs fine, and if you clear the codes they stay off for a day or two before coming back on.
I have read somewhere that a lot of these codes can be solved by pulling the central electrical board out (passenger footwell) and giving all the multi-plugs a squirt of contact cleaner. Might be worth a try...

I had a quick look in there today and all the contacts looked clean. I will pull it out and check again and spray some contact cleaner in the plugs just incase. Thanks. will keep you posted.
