XC70: Gearbox - Remap, Now slipping clutch under power

Would the stock replacement handle the 225hp remap?

Assuming the clutch is stock, I have had a remap for maybe 6 months.

Now the clutch is beginning to slip under load.

The mileage? 172,000 I guess now it is time for a clutch.

Thoughts? Or is there one of those anti judder valves in the system? (Stopping the noddy effect if you dump the clutch accidentaly)

I was mightily impressed that main dealer price for clutch kits are less than £500! I may go down that route of picking one up, or making the specific requrest to the garage to get a genuine volvo clutch/flywheel/slave.

al so consider a new intercooler at some point remaps have a habit of finding weaknesses

Depends how you use it.... the clutches are usually okay, it's the DMF's that can get paggered after a remap. Ask any clutch fast fit fitter....

It's hardly the excitable pull off thing, more of the acceleration and maintaining top end thing with the map. Who's daft enough to try an awd burnout, right?
The excellent pull between 1500-2800rpm was the main reason,
And to get half tidy mpg on the runs.
The dmf would be changed because I'm in there, it would make sense. I've little experience with dmfs, but I feel a slight kick when my foots on the clutch.

Thanks to Rufe for the bits, change out of £600 for clutch, DMF, slave, bolts and a few other bits n pieces.

The labour? Remind me to NEVER buy a manual car again. Garage had "Issues" seized bolts, and the such...

£749 Labour.

And that was mates rates. Needless to say, he did say, I don't want to see you for a while.
On the plus side, I didnt know my DMF was stuffed until I drove it and stalled it a few times. It's smooth as silk now.

Beans on toast for a while then!
