Default w'screen wipers

On 69 144,what size should wiper blades be? Somehow I have ended up with both a 16" and 18"on car. They need replacing for winter

What's the trick for removing the blades from the arm? try as I might i can never seem to manage yet I have seen others snap them off in seconds. I know that the dimple has to clear the hole on the hinge but something seems to hold it on

Gently ease the rounded spring clip tab under the blade away from the arm using your finger or a small screwdriver, at the same time easing the blade off the end of the arm. The spring clip applies pressure on the arm to keep the dimple in the hole.

I've only just seen your reply, my suggestion would have been that the peg had seized in the hole so try spraying with penetrating oil/WD40 and wriggle them free, however I note that you've done that and all is now well!
