Broken interior door handle

Looking for possible solutions.
Driver side v70 p2 door handle was plating up. Took it apart and the pin had worked it's way up so not pivoting at the bottom. When trying to get the pin down i broke the plastic housing that holds the pin.
I think i need a new plastic housing.
Nobody is breaking anything near me, had a quote from breakers £60 for new door card.
Any suggestions.

Thanks all, did a putty repair and works great now better than before. Really solid.
