Front seats

The seats in my car are leather faced only, which I didn't realise when I bought it.
I now have the side panel material, which I believe is "real vinyl", cracking due to not being flexible enough.
Has anyone come across for this unsightly and irritating problem?

My 2012 is still OK but what year is yours? Does this vinyl collapse happen suddenly at a certain age?

2014 88K but cracking started at 65K
