Thanks!
I'mn sure it's been covered before but does anyone know if this can be done by independant? Does anyone have knowledge of this or does Volvo hang onto their secrets. I wouldn't mind getting it done but don't fancy paying volvo prices. The though of shortening the life of my bulbs at £105 each just doesn't appeal |

some good independants will have the volvo equipment ..
For interest bi-xenon bulbs last about 7 years when on all the time as day running lights .. so not a problem ..

I hear what your saying but still £105 x 2 that in theory I would not have to pay out at all. I don't think I'd ever do 7 years worth of night driving during the period of ownership.

You can get the bulbs for half that.

I had mine switched off at my Volvo dealer for free. They were going to charge £15 for it but let me off, due to having to go back again for something seperate. £15 as a charge is not bad. Dealer, Ray Chapman Motors, Malton. Customer for over 20 years.

After 2005 volvo have to buy software to turn them off or on , ( hence you have to pay ) ..
before this they just had to connect their computer to the car and tick a box to do the job .. so costs them just a few minutes of time ..
