Thanks for the lovely comments. I guess I should also add that she had a new stainless steel exhaust (lifetime guarantee) fitted last June and new rear self levelling suspension (Sachs nivomat) fitted last October.

Thanks - we really are hoping that somebody will want her to go on to be a classic. She is such a lovely model that it would be a shame for her to just go to anybody who is going to abuse her.

I had a W reg V70XC which must have been one of the last ones in the ph1 shape. With the 2.5T engine it went really well and the AWD was useful pulling a caravan out of a snowy field!!
You look to have taken good care of yours so someone should benefit from this. Good luck. Sad when your own view of its worth is not in agreement with buyers!

Yes it is 2.5 lpt with 193 bhp engine B5254T (5 cylinder 20 valve). It is not only a great towcar, but good in snow and ice. We have not to to be towed off site since having her. We only tow a small caravan, but she is a very solid tow car, which gives confidence all round.

Stick to your guns on the price. It's worth every penny from what I can see.

With the amount of cash you have inserted into replacing the AWD components and having had the other remedial works sorted out on the car, keep to your price range.

Thanks for saying that. We have previously been offered a thousand pounds for the number plate alone, so taking that into account we felt we were about right. However, it is important to us that she goes to the right home. Let's face it she would be worth more than that if we broke her, but that us not going to happen. She will live her life out with us first. We are open to respectful offers to the right person.
