I bought a S60 D5 S today 74k £6995, I love the colour and the interior which is half leather and cloth.
Could not get an SE with the price I wanted to pay but the one I have bought has a pro logic 4 disc stereo so I assume its an additional extra. So I am looking forward to good economy and a smooth ride I collect the car on Wednesday. Whats with the silver gear thing on some models and a leather gater on others? So what do I need now to make it 200bhp ;0) - Spanky Last edited by cptSpanky; Apr 13th, 2007 at 20:37. |

Great decision. The S60 is an amazing car don't think Volvo will ever make one as good again.
Provided you look after it you have got loads of miles left in it. Half leather looks really good as well. Leather can sometimes look a bit tired over time. |

Thanks the half leather cloth is carbon fiber and looks really cool.
This will be the first diesel I had other than an escort for a few weeks, I must say the S60 does not drive like a diesel and it shifts!!!! Cannot wait to pick it up! The T5 I looked at had full leather and it was that which made it tatty some people do not look after the leather of their car, I will be treating mine with some sort of leather treatment. - Spanky. I recently bought a 2003 S60 D5 which I am enjoying. It is fast and the fuel consumption average on everyday running is 42mpg so far. Best of luck and enjoy.

I had a 2001 passat 130 tdi and had so much trouble with the car and the VW dealer that I sold it after only a few months, clutch judder. rattle from the roof, damaged by the garage twice and then repaired in there own bodyshop. I lost confidence in the car and the dealer. I also had a passat 1.6 turbo diesel 1985 which gave great service.
All the best with the D5.l

Thanks.
The Passat had the following problems Oil Pump MAF replacement Indicator Wiring Loom Hazard Light circuit Air Con fan 3 x sets of headlights Arm rest clip Centre air vent glove box lock boot central locking This over almost three years and a regular services with VW. There is a web site called VW Lemon dedicated to VW problems and there are thousands of posts from people with Passats. So I really hope the Volvo S60 is fine. Cheers Spanky |

Good luck wth your new D5. hope it turns out a good un.
200bhp ? 200bhp possible with RICA remap 204 or 210 full torq I'm running the full 210 in mine, and it is immense, most people think when being driven in it , that it is vquick turbo petrol. not Dis-ease'l
