Default XC90 T8 Starting range

Hi there,

I've had my new MY2020 car a few weeks now, and i'm really impressed with it .

I have a question, for some reason i believed the range after a full charge would be 25 miles, i think i got that from a Kris Rifa You Tube vid. My starting range, from the display is 21 miles. Is that right? I suppose i was also thinking because the new model had a larger battery that it might be a few more.

Overall though i'm pretty happy with the MPG, did a 250 mile round trip on the motorway and got 30 MPG and for my regular daily driving and commute, say 40-60 miles total it's telling me anything from 50-90 mpg

XC60 T8 2018

I never known mine to be more than 26, but generally 25, now 24, it might to drop to 24 in very cold weather, BUT in pure mode, in hybrid it is 21 now, (I have done over 20k miles) hybrid is always lower range than pure.

It has always confused me as when I bought the car it was suppose to have a 30 mile range, I know in the real world you might not get 30 miles of course, but I do not know why when fully charged it does not start around 30.

Thanks for that, I'll try putting into pure to see what it displays, i've not tried that yet.

Before the T8 I had a Merc C350e. That was supposedly 20 miles available on electric, but I never had more than 13 indicated. However the really annoying point was that after 5 or 6 miles, the indicator had dropped to about 4 or 5.

The T8 in the 4 weeks I've had it has been displaying 23 or 25 miles at the start, but much more importantly for me, they appear to be much more real world miles. After the same 5 or 6 miles, the indicator has dropped by the actual number (I use Pure mode all the time as the car was chosen so that day to day use was pure electric and the ICE only required for longer trips/holidays)
