The leakage got into a CAN bus connector and caused my car huge alarm and control system problems... https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=289206

Just to clarify, the title says 'rear windscreen' but I'm guessing you're talking about a leak from the windscreen going onto the CEM etc as you mention the glovebox.
I haven't had this myself but I've seen various posts about a fault with the windscreen bonding and I think Volvo either pay in full or contribute to the repair. I'm not sure how you'd go about confirming if your car is one of the affected ones but perhaps having a leak is enough. I think the main dealers do the repair FOC so I'd suggest you contact them to find out where you stand. Hope that helps. |

I've never been sure whether the (front) windsceen seal leak was an issue for P3 models?

There's a joint in the pipework somewhere above the CEM. Mine leaked at the joint but then sprayed at an angle onto a CANbus connector and caused havoc with the dash warnings and cabin controls. Pretty stupid place for a joint...

Anybody have any guides/pictures of how to remove the trim in the passenger footwell? going to have a go at fixing this weekend.
