Default Oil Leaks

Hi all,
I have a 2017 XC60, registered new April 2017, 23000 miles and just been in for its 3rd service. I have 3 small oil leaks one which has contaminated the timing belt, total quote for work £900. Service was £325 and also needed rear brake Disks and pads leaving me with a bill in excess of £1700.
Brakes fair enough but I wasnt expecting to have to spend £900 on the engine.
Any views would be much appreciated.
Cheers

What part of the engine was the leak coming from? My wife's 13 month old XC60 has a leak from the cam cover.

Contact Volvo customer services and tell them you are not happy that a car just 3 years old and just out of warranty has these leaks and inform them of the cambelt contamination and the quoted repair cost.
Ask them if they will show good will and repair your car free of charge, they will at a minimum contribute to the cost.
If they do not get a favourable response ask your dealer to ask them to show good will.

IMO a 3 year old car should not leak oil. I agree with nu11eaf; ask the dealer and/or Volvo UK to contribute to the cost of sorting this.

Volvo are normally pretty good with this sort of thing and should provide a contribution on a goodwill basis.

Thanks all, just to update on the situation, Volvo have agreed to pay 70% of the bill for the oil leak, so that’s a positive.
