Heated door mirror
I'm referring to the demist/de-ice on the door mirror, when you put the rear screen demist on. Does not work on the driver's side.
Is there a most likely problem? I see you can get new mirror glass on ebay, is that a likely cause? If its likely a wiring problem I will probably just live with it.

It could be a broken heater or cables.
You could try measuring if you have volts across the terminals on the mirror. I would get a spare first any way in case you damage the one on the car removing it to test it. |

Favourite suspects are either the heating element in the mirror, or a broken wire in the harness as it passes from the body to the door - it flexes here every time you open the door, and thus driver's side is most common.
You need to test it all out with a meter and see what's what.

First thing to do is to remove the mirror and make sure the heating element is present - not all generic replacement mirrors will have the element included so the "fitter" needs to remove the original heater and bond it on to the new mirror.
It frequently means that when mirrors are broken and replaced the element doesn't get re-fitted.
