Default winter is coming...

...and now I've actually GOT the car, I suppose I ought to plan ahead, so is anybody getting rid of any alloys and winters?

... or just go for all-seasons from Goodyear, Michelin or Nokian and run one set of alloys.

I fitted Michelins to my wife's car 18 months ago, and they seem OK.
as the new tyres (Conti EcoContact) on the XC60 have only done 2500 miles they're never going to wear pout by next winter, so I suppose it'll be down to buying winter tyres and storing the contis at the tyre depot till spring. And that's probably the cheapest option actually...
