high level brake light glows

Hi
The high level brake light on our v40cc glows dimly (can't see it in day light) when the car is unlocked or locked and turns off after 15 mins or so.
I can't imagine what function this serves. Is this normal or indicating a fault?

not normal , it sounds as if the wires are shorting to the interior light circuit , are they playing up too?

Hi Clan thanks for your reply.
I haven't noticed any odd behaviour of the interior lights ... something I'll check later.
The cars going in for a service in a weeks time - is this something that I can expect the dealers to be able to trace and resolve easily or am i better off finding a vehicle sparky?

Car electrics are highly specialised now especially with what you may consider simple circuits like interior lights or stop lights , They need a specialist , that is someone who has the know how , the experience , the wiring diagrams and factory back up . ie . the dealer ...
