Hi,

Who is the 1800 register keeper now? Is there one?

Thanks,

Details are in the Club's magazine DRIVER. You get one if you're a member (of the Club, not this Forum)

Is it a state secret?

Not sure who it is now either. It however is a good number if you want first dibs at buying some of these as folk contact them first quite often. The director sometimes posts stuff up but don’t see the registered keepers do the same. Happens in all of the categories I reckon.

As Paul said, the 1800 register keeper is advertised in the club magazine: one of the advantages of being a member.
On the contrary though, as I am the 140-series registrar I do announce those models I know as coming up for sale, in the section I write. Thats how several get sold on - to other dedicated enthusiasts who don't object to buying club membership. After all, you don't get owt for nowt on this planet - except wretched coronavirus.

The register keeper was on here until a couple of days ago, it just seemed a bit odd that the sticky disappeared.
I would say that I am a dedicated enthusiast, I've driven my amazon every day for the last 15 years, rebuilt every aspect of it, posted over 1000 times on this forum, offered help and parts to many, but I have not yet felt the need to join the owners club. I don't object to it, I just have not felt the need.

Not sure why the two registered keepers that commented weren't willing to help, odd?

Anyhow this is or was the P1800 registered keeper: redacted consult your copy of driver

The club director nigel335 might be more helpful.

Lol was copied and pasted from the club director's sticky:

What is going on here, very unfriendly attitude to folk on the forum for some reason?

Don't stress it, Nigel has sent me an email and been helpful.

It did wind me up a bit earlier tbh but I think everyone's a bit wound up at the minute to be honest. I'm just trying to find a car to buy, but God knows how you're supposed to do that, or most anything, at present..

Yes - I too have been hoping to get another car this week but had to drop it due the virus/lockdown curtailing the efforts of my friendly car-collection guy.
We seem to all be in the same boat here.
