Bloody cracked wheel - it’s a previous owners repair that I didn’t even know was there that’s failed. I blame the numerous pot holes around where I live.

Fortunately Huddersfield breakers had one wheel of the same type in stock, that’s now on its way to me, complete with a crappy Chinese tyre, which will be getting ditched as soon as I get it.
The roads are atrocious throughout the country, We have a motorhome and are away every weekend, it's the same countrywide.
My V70 has 20" alloys fitted with 35-aspect tires, so I have to be quite cautious, luckily I only do the same journeys in it so I know where all the ones to miss are

Which wheels do you have? Did you need to use spacers, or did you find some with the right offset?

Well - disaster!
The car is sitting completely wrong after the garage had their hands on it. Lesson learned, don’t let someone else do what you can do yourself.

Thanks to the amazing help on this very forum, it looks like they’ve fitted aftermarket springs for non-nivomat shocks. Found out there’s loads of different springs available, so genuine ones purchased today from Lloyds Volvo in Carlisle (just happened to be nearby in the work van).

Will try and get round to fitting them in the next few evenings.

They are the right offset,
AXE EX20 in polished silver.
I had to drop from a 245 to a 225 tire so no rubbing on full lock.

It’s only high at the back, surely that’d make it an XC35 😂

The eagle eyed amongst us may be able to spot a difference here that the garage who originally ‘repaired’ the car didn’t spot :-(

Proper springs fitted, wasn’t a bad job and the car is sitting properly again.

Now got a set of 3 mile old springs kicking around 🤔

I'd be taking them back to the garage that fitted the incorrect springs and inserting them where the sun don't shine !!
