V70: General - V70 D5 185 exhaust info needed please.

Hi Folks, My 06` V70 D5 185 manual is in need of a new silencer...it is still the original system and has covered 234,000 miles but is now falling apart at the rear....there is no middle silencer, it is just all one piece from the cat back, a long pipe welded to the rear silencer.....I can not seem to find anybody in the UK that does a direct replacement....is this a genuine part only and if so does anybody have an idea of cost ?

Hi, Volvo Silencers like other Volvo parts last (Or Used To) but dont come cheap. If you have a good Volvo Inde nearby thats your best option for getting the work done properly at a sensible cost, otherwise its your nearest Volvo Stealer im afraid.

A bespoke stainless steel sports system. They are actually no more expensive than the OEM from Volvo and you can have it made to perform and look like whatever you want. And it will last for ever.
