Has the pin snapped off inside the drive select lever? This happened to mine and jammed in park. If you pull down the gaiter around the lever, then pull down the collar, then you can pull up on the lever (with ridiculous force) and it eventually comes off the lever and you can see if the selector lock is working properly.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsyzhftlzJw Once the lever is off you should be physically able to move it into drive, but be careful you can knock it into part when moving without that lever... But it might also be an electrical fault? Sorry don't know much about that.

This happened to me on my 2005 XC90. No brake lights means stuck in Park. There is a way to release the gear lever, did this and managed to drive the car ok, but still no brake lights - the solution was to wire a permanent live to the brake pedal switch. Once done the gear lever shifts as usual etc. Happy to chat through if it helps 07595602322 Rich |

The brake switch has to be reset perhaps, it has a ratchet system to get the switch in the right place for little pedal movement. If you joined the 2 wires together you should get brake lights, the top brake light gets power from the CEM.
