I wonder if one hour is enough time to make the necessary changes (I'm just guessing here).

My dealer wants the car for the whole day, although that might be just for their convenience. It's booked in for 19 Nov so I'll find out more then.

I’m in no hurry for the mod. Let the early birds test it for me first.

I had mine done last Friday. Story goes like this.

I had initially complained couple of weeks back about loss of power and that the suspension is too unstable, the service guy mentioned that there are no fault codes and everything is fine. Then the dealer called and said that my car needs to come to garage for the recall and it will take a day for them. I asked them if they are going to update the car’s software. They dealer said that they won’t do it as it’s not part of the recall.

Once I got the car back on Friday, I can see that they have updated the software. I can see the connect car option and the start stop symbol has changed. The car is very very stable and the power delivery specially at the roundabouts has increased immensely. It feels like a brand new car all together.

So anyone who is waiting for the recall, please call the local dealer and get it done. It makes the car far more lively.

BTW , I drive a s90 D5 2018 model.

So I have now had the 'bill' for the recall. Paid for under warranty.

RECALL CAMPAIGN R29946 Qty. 0.50, £41.40
XW 02 OPTION 2
V032312148 065009/ECM EGR REBUILD AP Qty. 1.00, £24.20

So I assume it was software which was done as part of the service at the same time and then something to the EGR.

Not just software as first I thought.

Which models does this apply to?
I’ve checked the Volvo safety recall web site with my VIN and I don’t seems to have any recalls outstanding.
My car is an XC60 D5 powerplus.

Not yours. Just the 4-cylinder VEA engines

I am not sure if this would be applicable to me but I searched away anyways. I got the following -

Status:Recall INCOMPLETE

One or more outstanding campaigns have been highlighted therefore please contact your nearest authorised repairer, as soon as possible, to arrange for the remedial work to complete.

Is there anyway to find out which recall is pending?

I just don't understand . My car ia a 2017 MY V90 D4. Thus it has the 4 cylinder VEA engine. A check of the DVLA site recognises my details and correctly identifies the car. It clearly sstates that there are no recalls outstanding. Last check was 3 minutes ago. What am I missing?
The car was last in the dealers a week ago for the oil overfilled issue. Forgot to ask about recall but no mention made of it.
