reversing sensors

Hi everybody I need some help, I am going to fit some rear parking sensors soon can anybody tell me what colour is the cable I attach the live feed to and where it is thanks in advance

I've done this to my V40, can't remember the cable however my parking sensors beeps all the freaking time when it's in reverse, I think I need to switch to some better quality sensors.

I haven't fitted sensors to a V40, and I know that the wiring etc. Is different to an S40, however there's a few threads that discuss doing this to a V40 - the first post in this thread should help.

I bought very cheap sensors off eBay, and after colour coding them to match my paint, and installing them in the same place as factory sensors they work perfectly and look like they've always been there.

These are the sensors, though they were 3 quid cheaper when I bought them! :

thanks for your reply Ilikewatch I found same aticle with a search. I fitted some about 9 years ago to a 2000 v40 phase 1.5 and spliced the wire into a brown with orange stripe wire( and this is the problem,why I CHOSE THAT ONE after he said to use the violet with white stripe wire ) I think I used morphinemitt's aticle to fit them and they worked great, I have recently bought a 2004 v40 and was wondering if the wiring was still the same,not looked yet but don't want to take the boot apart to trace the violet with white line to where it changes to the brown /orange one.could I trace the correct wire back from the reversing light itself ? thanks
