I would try contacting a local classic car club for a recommendation.

Thank you. I found some in the yellow pages too. Get the blue smoke fixed first, I think!

Non-binding estimate from Jay's Leather £200 - ish (£40 callout, £65 clean+feed both front seats, £100 repair). Hmmm

I have to say the 'leathercloth' stuff my 740 seats are made of doesn't look like it would respond to surface treatments - unlike proper leather seats which soften when treatments are applied.
A pair of replacements (the right beige colour) failed to find a buyer at £30 on ebay. I think you'll need to remove the covers and find someone to put new panels in, probably for not much more than you have been quoted. |

I think mine are leather - 760, etc. I think that the quote is to let in new leather at the right place....

I have used these guys twice. The last time to replace a worn section of the leather drivers seat on a V40. From memory I paid around £100 for a near perfect match on the grey leather and they were really nice to deal with as well. Dropped the car off in the morning and collected the same day. North of the Blackwall Tunnel I know, but for the right price it might be worth the trip.
