S60 D5 manual 72k service
Does £171 + vat seem about right for the service at a specialist, I was quoted £391 from the dealer . The car has 65k on the clock so I will get an oil change in the meantime £45 + vat using Volvo oil & filter.

£171 is a good price.
Oil is about £50-80 depending where you go. ( if not sourced yourself) Oil cartridge about £7 Air filter £20 Cabin filter £30-35 ish depending on the type. and that's about in in terms of parts. So looking at £50-70 for labour. Dealership is around £75 an hour. Indie's from £30 - 50 Not sure as I don't have the details with me - but the fuel filter may require changing? but that may be at the same time as the cam belt at your next service. difference in prices between an indy and the dealership is that Volvo charge you £100 for the washer fluid and £50 for the "complimentary" mints. Volvo though may - and do apply any new software changes that the indy's may not do/have access to.

I've just had a quote of 200.56 for my 96k service (without the cambelt), which is basically the same as the 72k and 84k service.
That is with a Volvo main dealer, and with me supplying my own oil (Which cost me about 22 pounds)
