Default Reading fault codes from Volvo C70 98

As title, Ive tried the LED trick in the port but doesnt want to play ball?

Its a GT C70 2.3 manual gearbox, early 98 model I think.

Sorry bob forgot to mention, you will need a scart socket to plug in and read those fault codes.

Is the car fitted with an OBD-II socket, look in the center console box, lift the lid and near the front end might be a plastic cover with OBD-II embossed in to it, the diagnostic socket is under the cover (if fitted) - Mike

If it says OBD-II on the cover then it will be, this is the "Scart" socket earlier refered to as there is slight resemblence to the shape of the diagnostic port on the car and the sockets on the back of a TV!! - Mike

Which reader have you gone for, I use an OBD-KEY Bluetooth device paired to a PDA for data logging/ reading codes etc, works a treat but getting the data on my iPhone is proving "interesting" but not impossible - Mike
