Default Locking wheel nut key

I have bought a 2009 XC90 and had it a month or so, and it suddenly occured to me, where is the locking wheel nut key?
I've looked in the obvious places, they have supplied me with the 4 removed wheel bolts! I found them OK, but not the wheel lock key!
Anyone any ideas where Volvo stash or hide them?

They're the obvious places, I looked in the glovebox, centre console, the bag containing the wheel brace etc, ashtrays, rear storage compartments . . . I have booked it in at a dealers to have them replaced . . . but, I'd prefer to find the existing key, who knows what damage they could do removing the locking wheel nuts.

Does anyone actually steal allow wheels from cars these days ?

If someone wanted to do that, and the wheels had locking studs,
they'd probably break into the car first and look in the obvious places themselves to find the tool !

Plenty of owners have reported on these forums where the socket tool has broken leaving them stranded -
the studs do have a tendency to corrode and lock up really tight,
so have a think if you really need the locking studs or not !

Indeed, one of the first jobs I do is to remove the locking bolts and replace them with standard, non locking bolts.
I was caught out once on a dark, wet and windy A14, with a goosed locking bolt key. Fortunately I was on my way home from work and had my tools with me..

Question look look and then look again.

if its not in the car contact who ever sold you the car, try takeing the spare wheel out in case its taped to it,it should be some where near the wheel brace or jack.good luck.

You are correct in every aspect. As someone who has experienced the hassle caused by these rubbish things i would strongly recommend replacing them with standard wheel bolts.
