Any advantage to this app over AA though?
Helpful to know, thanks.

I've not used AA. So can't compare. However, the usual upsides to Spotify app pre-installed in the car (may be common to AA) are: No need to touch the phone ever, it's ready to go; full access to own downloaded music and entire Spotify library; DAB quality audio. Downside (apart from current!): If you lose internet then regain it, the app blares out unexpectedly, even if it hadn't been playing when signal was lost.

If you're in any way satisfied with AA then I'd quit while you're ahead!

I'm probably boring everyone now, but an update promise is a promise...

Spotify still not working so I've gone nuclear and uninstalled it in the hope it will soon reappear (as other uninstalled apps have) on my New Apps tab, whereupon I'll reinstall it to see if issue cured.

It's not reappeared yet (2 hours later) but Yelp and Weather apps took days.

I'll keep you posted (sorry!).

I didn't do any uninstalling or reinstalling, just waited patiently for an app update, came through yesterday, installed in 5 minutes, all working perfectly again.

I uninstalled and reinstalled and I'm pretty sure the browsing performance is WAY better following this update.

Might be placebo I guess but definitely seems faster.

Pleased to say, sorted at last (reinstalled and updated) - even by Volvo's service standards this has been a slog. Thanks all for your company throughout this torture, and good luck to all those who're still awaiting the update.

Back to German cars for me!
