Volvo 940 wheel boss
I'm the look out for a volvo 940 wheel boss so I can put aftermarket steering wheel on.
Cheers |

what part are you talking about? - The steering wheel is all one piece, it doesn't have a separate boss...

He's after a boss, so he can fit a aftermarket steering wheel. I thought it was pretty clear.
U can get them from several places, demon tweaks, eBay and many others there about £60 if I remember correctly. I could do with one as well but haven't got £60 to spend on one at the minute. |

As I say - the steering wheel is a single piece without a boss... Any such piece would presumably not be a Volvo part therefore - so surely this is not the best place to be looking, since it would presumably be a standard item for any vehicle?

Your probably right that it isn't the best place to try and get one. But someone may have bought a car with a aftermarket wheel on and reverted back to a original one. Your right there not a volvo made item, but they are specific to the 700/900 cars they won't fit anything. They have the specific volvo spline pattern for these cars.

If u have a welder and some know how. U could always have a go at making one, like I did for my lotus sunbeam. There was only one place that I could find that sold them. They wanted £90 for it. Bo**ocks to that! Made my own!

Just make sure u get the steering wheel mount central to the spline nut. Otherwise ur wheel will go around a bit funny.
