B230fk won't start
Hi
B230 FK. Cam belt replaced. Reset timing and re-checked, and re-checked and again. LH2.4 so dizzy only goes in one way. Fit pointing rotor dead on to cylinder 1 at TDC. Flywheel mounted correctly, flat spots middle of starter hole with Cylinder 1 at TDC compression stroke. Turns over, tries to kick over, won't. After a few tries it kicks back as if it's firing to early, what I'd expect from an engine not timed right, to advanced. POwer stage has been replaced by severa known good ones. Doing my head in. What am I missing. RPM sensor maybe? |

Resolved
So after checking EVERYTHING ELSE, it turned out to be the RPM sensor, otherwise known as the crank position sensor.
Shielding worn away, groudnig out on chassis. I looked for a trigger signal from the EZK of which I found none, although it would kick over every now and then, give random spark. Gave the cable a good tug and she fired right up. New one been ordered. Cheers for those who read along |
