Exclamation Arrogant car enthusiasts best out of the scoop.

If you say anything constructive say nothing at all. Experience with car clubs and groups is shocking. Everyone knows better… oh you are doing it wrong… that’s not the way… you can’t even post a picture of your V70 T6 without nasty comments. Oh your headlight washer is stuck out. Really??? That’s all you can say? Or just getting patronised over phone calls about what you should be doing or better. Coolant flush and change radiator oh you can do that yourself. No I can not!!! Same with car gatherings just poke at all the imperfections and problems and give patronised comments about how you should do this and that. I’m not cut out for this. It’s supposed to be an enjoyable hobby.

You need to have a thick skin, tuff attitude, take it on the chin, don’t let stuff bother you attitude in this game. Otherwise people on groups and clubs will just walk all over you. And if you have no mechanic knowledge well that’s the worst.

Have you any toys left to throw out of your pram? you are not happy about your experiences with car clubs and motoring in general, fine, just stop banging on about it on here, move on to something else and let everyone one else enjoy this forum without your petulant whinging.

Having seen all the other posts and your displeasure, why not just buy a basic car that fulfils your needs Just does what it says on the tin, I dunno fiat panda, Dacia duster anything like that and find a new hobby. Fishing perhaps, that has many benefits for relieving stress and just generally resetting, and you can do it by yourself so no need to join any angling clubs and fall out with them either. Win win I’d say.

Sage advice, please take it.

Because based on how you've chosen to present yourself to a large audience of complete strangers none of whom have caused or wished you any harm, God knows what you're going to do when you actually come up against one of the many serious injustices in life.

Here's my constructive advice to you - if this is how you genuinely feel about your experiences, and you feel that aggrieved by this, rather than just trying to troll or provoke a response, then you should seek professional counseling and anger management. I mean that in all sincerity. Your life will be better for it.

I'm not sure what type of meets you have attended. try a dedicated Volvo group i have never been criticised or chastised by any one at any meet anywhere . and iv been to a lot of Volvo meets where folk are friendly and welcoming i believe there is one in the north wales/ Chester area . try it.

As a new member, I was prepared to give 'Jbentley' the benefit of the doubt with their first post and treat them with the respect that I have come to both expect and receive in this forum. This latest tirade however is causing me to wonder if they may be making a concerted attempt to, in the vernacular, 'wind us up'.

If that is indeed the case, let us neither rise to their bait nor sink to their level in our response. Let us instead simply ignore them, when in time they may go away of their own accord.

I do happen to feel very sorry for 'Jbentley', who I agree appears to be in need of some professional help. While I would gladly do all that I can in a case of genuine need, life really is much too short to become embroiled in those of the kind that I now suspect this one to be. Although it is with little in the way of expectation, I also hope that I may be proved wrong in my assessment of the OP on this occasion.

Regards, John.
