Default Reasonably priced T5 or upgraded ecu for 2.5T

I've been hankering for a T5 for a dog's age now, but they all seem to fall into the same categories, i.e. completely knackered but cheap. Bloomin' miles away, or good, but way out of my price range, which isn't much.
I've pretty much given up on owning a T5 now, so is it possible to put an upgraded ecu straight into my P reg V70 2.5T?
I'll admit to knowing absolutely nothing about this, so do any other mods have to be made to accommodate the replacement ecu?

So, if anyone has a T5 which needs a bit of fettling, but is reasonably priced (cheap), please dump a pm on my doorstep. Autos only please.

Alternatively, if anyone has an upgraded ecu which will slot straight in to my 2.5T, again, please pm me.

Ta muchly.
