A rule of thumb for rust is that you can see a third of it.
Still, if we all panicked at the first blister, there would be no classic stuff left.

It would be easier to find a good shell though-once you break the paint the economics go out of the window.

Hi Nick,

I saw your first post and pics and nearly replied with WALK AWAY, but felt it was not fair to make a judgement on a few negative pic's. Having seen others using the same advice and having owned a red "93"240 estate I am very much of the same opinion.
They do rust in the most oddest of places, another place to look is on the bulkhead under the bonnet there is a ledge with a rubber seal running across from inner wing to inner wing, rubbish collects and damp holds under the seal.
2K is a lot of money for that, £500 would be pushing it with so much work.
Be patient there will be one just around the corner..........there always is.....usually just after you've emptied your wallet.
Bit like finding the right woman to be 'onest..........."I'll get ma' coat"

I usually defend high prices but 2k is too much for this one. £500 is banger racer money but unless there are some nice extras I would put this one in that ball park

I'd say keep your eyes open for a better one. I've spent ludicrous amounts on my 240 (about 4 times what it'll ever be worth).

Then again, the joy I get from having rescued it and being able to drive it is priceless.
