Volvo parts shop has them at £40 a pair, I'm looking for the cheapest option as well for genuine parts.

Do you really need them?

Car looks a lot better without then. in fact I an probably count on one hand how many V40s I have seen with mud flaps.

I live down a pit holed muddy water Lane and the car gets splashed most days with liquid mud so I need them.
I just got the Volvo ones delivered and for almost £40 a pair they are a rip off.
The ones on my Rover 25 are better!

They do not look bad when on in fact you barely notice them much like the non existent spray suppression they give.

Unfortunately I think due to the shape of the car finding effective spray suppression will always be difficult.

A V40 is already very low to the floor, easy to ground, mudflaps will make it even lower I would imagine, and probably get ripped off/damaged.

My local dealer is quoting £75 a pair including fitting which is a joke when they only project about 40mm. You can download the fitting instructions on the Volvo accessories Web site.

I don't think you can have rear mudflaps for the R design. I have asked three dealers and all have said the same thing.

Re front ones, recently fitted a front pair myself. Cost £50 and five minutes to fit so I wouldn't pay dealer to do this.

I should add that they are a complete rip off for what they are. Not very big compared to previous V50 and only a peice of moulded plastic with a couple of self tapping screws included.

I fitted a set of these to my 15 Plate D2 V40. If they are not from Volvo's supplier, then they are extremely convincing fakes. They took less than 30 minutes to fit, without removing the wheels. I used a small ratchet with a screw driver adapter that I bought from Aldi.
