If it had been possible to get the tank re tested and stamped up then it could have been an option. There was just no where that would do it (no suprise) and waiting for a replacment was the only option. Rather than having to wait for a tank to come in from abroad I did some calling around to find a UK supplier that claimed to have one in stock. I did warn your dad that he was not fully reliable with supply and after waiting a couple of days nothing arrived. Even more phoning around to get this sorted for you and I have found a Stako tank for you.

I do not like your rush rush atitude and prefer to do a job well and have it done properly. You have no paticance and that does not bide well with me. Standing oversome while they are working on your car is how mistakes are made and how you ended up with the petrol gaige wires not connected. Turniing up to collect the car when you were told it was not ready and that I needed no interuption so that you job would not get put back any further does not help.

Threatening someone with IF YOU DO NOT DO EXACTLY WHAT I WANT I WILL POST UP ON THE FORUM THAT YOU ARE A BODGER AND CON MAN will not make me do what you want. You might like to try and bully and that is why you started this thread and so be it. A faulty tank is beyond my control and anyone with sense will see that.

Yes you have every right to see the tank plate and will be permanantly fixed to the tank. The photos of teh ID plate will be available for inspection. It would be nice to left alone to get on with sorting it out for your dad.

The rush rush attitude that you said it would be ready at 1 and when we arrived at 12.30 you still had 3hrs work to do on it as the holiday was booked to go that night and they never made it as you said it would take 4 days to convert yes it was a custom job but At no time did you ever say that it was going to take longer then expected and take 4 weeks.

So that my dad could of cancelled 1 of the 2 or even both if you had been honest enough to say its going to take weeks rather then days

And also with your suppliers most would send out a replacement part if you told them it leaked so that you could get the car back on the road ASAP and then send the faulty one back for testing

It was I and I think this is a simple request that is easy to carry out, why it takes so long leaves people to come to their own conclusions, dispel the issue by taking a couple of pictures and putting them in the thread. just to increase the size of this job (taking pictures) add a third one showing where the weld split.

Have you contacted the supplier of the faulty tank?
If so have they requested it to be returned, I would be very surprised if they don't want to tear the welds to bits to find out a cause of weld failure - Mike

From readnig this thread and the other thread by 940_Turbo I think it is fair to say that classicswede is about as good at fitting lpg systems as I am at open heart surgery. You do not convert a car then hand it back with it stalling, cutting out and running as rough as a badgers arse. Also charging someone £1340 (going back to 940_Turbo's thread) for a conversion but then using the cheapest components is borderline illegal.

I personally at the very least would go to small claims and get the difference back and possibly go to trading standards as the service he is providing is not fit for purpose.

classicswede, you are obviously not adept at doing this type of mechanical work so why flog a dead horse and cheese off these people and open yourself up to legal trouble?

This is a PM from Dai To me to say we could pick the car up anytime on the sunday when we originally collected it. now i have highlighted the bit that to me says the car is ready for collection at 9am if i wanted to on the sunday and we got there at 12:30 and left at 17:00

It will be available for collection on Sunday any time.

At the moment it is at the fabricators in Llangefni

so that is me rushing you when we arrived to get it sorted i took that to mean it as was read the car was ready on saturday and if i wanted to drive down saturday night and collect at 00:01 on sunday it would of been ready

Dai

i have removed the other bits in the pm bar dai's response

Dai,

I have read both threads on here with regards to yourself and I've also read your linked items too. I know absolutely nothing about LPG coversions nor anything about tanks and type approval etc...

What I do know is there is great deal of evidence stacked up behind those people that you seem to have done a disjutice to? You have been asked very kindly to supply pictures by both Mike and Andy of which you replied you would but to date nothing has ever appeared??? This sort of activity in itself make you look dodgy.

LPG is pretty serious stuff and can actually kill people, do you appreciate the significance and level of trust that people invest in you to do a proper certified job? Quite literally lives are at stake by the quality of parts you use and your workmanship.

If you are not a certified installer then you really shouldn't be doing these jobs. If you are a certified installer then perhaps you shouldn't be using the lowest quality parts that you can get your hands on and then charge a premium. Especially when your customers have asked for 'The Best Quality' parts (Prins).

In my honest opinion at the moment you are no more than a SCAMMER!!! You could help yourself, your reputation and the bad press for your business with a little work? Get these peoples issues sorted, post the pics you said you would, post the emails from you to the tank manufacturer reporting the tank failure and their answer to it and give a little better customer service and be more transparent!! Your really not helping yourself at the moment.

The pics and posts of those you have agrieved are pretty damning I must say? Not impossible to save your reputation but some hard work to be done by you??
