New Model XC60 T5 Momentum AWD
Took delivery of this on Friday and been having a bit of drive around this weekend. Very please so far although - ride is far superior to the previous model (of which we've had two). Hoping the engine will loosen up a bit and we'll get something better than the 23mpg currently showing (from a combination of town and motorway). The economy chart shows it hitting the high 30s on the motorway.
All seems ok so far, although I'm not sure the mirror dips in reverse when you push the L or R button like the old car did which could be a bit annoying. Might treat myself to some bigger wheels but I note that several people says this has a noticeable detrimental effect on the ride quality. |

Interior quality is very good, seats are ultra comfortable which is clever considering their slim backs.
Can't make my mind up whether there's more or less interior space compared to the old car. It does appear to be fractionally bigger as it's hanging off the end of of our rather modest drive which the old one didn't. Cornering is flat and confident although feedback from the steering is near on non-existent but I haven't tried adjusting the level of assistance. I'm also being kind and running it in gently (need to read manual to see if this is necessary) so I've not unleashed the full 245bhp yet, although it doesn't feel like it's short of any torque. Start-stop is good and very quick at starting from rest, have had a few issues where it's cut out a bit early when in slow moving traffic and then realised that you might want to move and you get bit of a surge forward. I expect I'l sort this with some adjustment to my driving style. You can close the tailgate from the key fob! |

I guess you need time to have a play, but it's there some where.

Looking very nice. Presume previous models were diesel - which particular version (so we can see what the comparator is!)
And is it bought or leased (or company) - and if bought, did you get a discount!!?? Ian |

I'd be interested to see what your MPG in the long run is, I'm extraordinarily sceptical of these supposed high MPG performance petrol engines. With the premium price tag of the new XC60, the T5 is the only option I could consider to replace mine when the time comes.
