They are likely the best salvage yard in central Scotland, I use them as much as I can.
They keep the spot very tidy, organised by manufacturer, no part is too small for them to quote on, decent to very good prices, easy to get to and helpful staff. Versus most other Scottish yards where you feel like your an inconvenience to them and they charge the absolute earth for genuine junk, OR up the price whilst your toiling away to remove said part. Famously went to one spot near Stirling who quoted £20 for whatever part it was, (which was steep, as new genuine is about £46), agreed anyway so long as I could find a halfway decent part, found said part, 45 minutes removing it properly (not smashing it out like most folk do leaving them less salable parts), went back and magically the price was now £80!!! Because in the mean time they'd looked on ebay at similar but not same things, and asking prices not sale prices.... If they looked at the prices that stuff actually sold for they would have been VERY happy with the £20 originally agreed. The part went through a renaults windscreen and not home with me, so they were out their £20 and a windscreen, asshats! |
