Hi, I'm grateful for your reply, but surely you can see, that if its out of a my99 v70, for example, I may end up with the same issue ?

Its not age related, so I read on here, its a common fault for the CD to reject, on any age, it seems ?

My post said.... For example, a my99 ? Could be any year ? I'm just trying to find as new one as possible, that's all, no particular probs with my99 !

So, basically you just need one that works regardless of how old it is, although one that's had an easy life would be preferable

It's coming from a 1997 car is all I can tell you, working perfectly when removed. I can also add out of the 3 or more X70 series I've owned I've never had an issue with any of the radio's.

Unless you are going to buy a new unit you really have no guarantees.....
